Treatment under the NHS
NHS care is exclusively for children and teenagers under 18 years of age who qualify for treatment for dental health reasons such as severe crowding or protrusion of the teeth. Anyone under 18 is eligible for a free consultation to determine if they qualify. If you would like a consultation, ask your dentist to refer you to us.
Each year we are given a limited amount of NHS funding to treat children. Those who qualify for treatment may have to join a waiting list before treatment can begin.
NHS treatment is carried out by our team of specialist orthodontists and orthodontic therapists. Modern metal fixed braces with coloured bands are generally used to achieve an ideal smile.
Private Treatment
Private orthodontic treatment is available for adults and children including children who do not qualify for NHS treatment because their problem is a minor or cosmetic one.
There are many advantages of private orthodontic care. We are able to offer a choice of appliances including the very latest ‘invisible’ braces.
There is no waiting list for private care and we can usually begin treatment immediately.
The Cost of Private Treatment
The cost of treatment will depend on the type of appliances used and the time required to complete the treatment. A written quotation for private fees will be available following an initial consultation. Treatment fees can be spread over the duration of treatment with 0% finance available subject to status.
